Duties
As a Preschool Teacher Aide, you'll partner with the Classroom Teacher to :
Develop and implement activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical developmentSupport programming for children ages 3-5 in accordance with Head Start Performance StandardsEnsure compliance with Wisconsin Child Care Licensing, City of Madison Accreditation, and Wisconsin YoungStar standardsBuild positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community membersMaintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environmentSupport multicultural and diverse learning experiencesAssist with daily classroom routines and specialized programmingWork collaboratively under the direction of the Classroom TeacherRequirements
Preschool Teacher Aide II Requirements
Preschool Credential OR Child Development Associate Credential ORAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in any field plus completion of Intro to Child Care Profession (or equivalent ECE course)Teacher Aide III Requirements
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education ORRelated Associate's or Bachelor's degree with practicum and assessments providing unique enrichment (music, art, intervention therapy) with minimum 18 ECE creditsBenefits

Reach Dane provideshigh-quality early childhood services to over 1,000 underserved children ages 0-5 in Dane County through center based and home visitation programs. Our staff work tirelessly every day to reach the most vulnerable children and families in our community, and the need for our services is growing.The number of infants and toddlers experiencing homelessness enrolled in our programs has tripled over the last four years.Last year, Reach Dane served more homeless children than any other Head Start program in Wisconsin.
