Qualifications
- Have 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years of experience in engineering management
- Have prior experience building out infrastructure teams at scale and experience in platforms based on Kubernetes, public clouds (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
- Have a good understanding of defining, building and operating SaaS services, products, and infrastructure at scale with focus on operational excellence.
- Have experience with managing Open source projects and communities
- Take pride in building and operating scalable, reliable products and systems
- Own problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done
- Have the ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines
- Adept at communicating the technical product vision, and driving the product roadmap with focus on business-based outcomes
- Ability to think, plan and act strategically for all stakeholders, actively seeking and integrating stakeholder feedback
- Strong believer of and experience working in the Agile framework, but willing to be flexible to team needs and accommodate changes and experimentation as needed
- Care deeply about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and have a track record of building inclusive teams
- BS in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent work-related experience
Responsibilities
- Own, drive the vision and roadmap for the Kubernetes team that powers developer productivity across Intuit by working with your team and stakeholders across the company.
- Intuit Kubernetes platform runs 91% of Intuit services and is core platform running Intuit’s flagship products like Turbotax, Quickbooks and Mailchimp.
- Build next generation abstraction platform IKS AIR, AIR is an AI based application abstraction and AI assisted runtime for services running on the IKS platform.
It aims to greatly simplify the management and operation of services, thereby increasing developer productivity and operational excellence.
- Build and manage high performing teams, putting the right people in the right job at the right time
- Bring out the best ideas from the best engineers by empowering them and instilling a sense of urgency and purpose
- Mentor, lead and guide; Hire professionals, give them the tools and support they need and get out of their way!
- Work with leadership, Product Management and Engineering teams to create innovative infrastructure and platform products used throughout the company and released into the Open Source community
- Collaborate closely with a broad set of stakeholders, including product engineering, inference, and finance.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $220,000 - 297,500.
This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs .
