We currently have an immediate opening for a Product Manager located in City of Industry, California.

Job Summary :

The Product Manager must exhibit an expert understanding of the X-Ray industry and Astrophysics product line, primarily the Critical Infrastructure market.

Regularly attend Engineering meetings and inform Sales and Marketing departments of product development / updates. Analyze industry, market, customers and competitors, and lead creation of Sales & Marketing product training and product collateral.

Travel with Sales team to give company and product presentations to key dealers and customers. Drive brand and product awareness and collaborate on sales lead generation efforts.

Essential Functions :

  • Regularly attend Engineering department meetings
  • Practice discretion and maintain confidentiality about R&D and company IP
  • Conduct ongoing and in-depth research on industry news and trends, markets, customers and competitors, and communicate to management
  • Evaluate market competition for products, update competitive matrix, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to convey product differentiators / value, and position products for success
  • Take point in development of Sales & Marketing product collateral, including product training, presentations, brochures, and product campaign pieces
  • Actively engage with Engineering and ensure all technical specifications are up to date
  • Give product trainings, presentations and demonstrations as required
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Engineering on product launches, timeline and comprehensive go-to-market strategy
  • Analyze competitive products in the market and conduct SWOT analysis
  • Run business cases to determine potential market and customer interest for new product developments
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager, Sales Managers, Engineers and Executive Team to develop winning sales proposal strategies
  • Establish strategic product management
  • Analyze packaging, pricing and positioning of products
  • Research best channels to promote products for each market and target customer
  • Ensure strong brand and product presence and messaging in online and offline channels
  • Generate reports to track sales leads, customer awareness and perception of the brand and product, and sales conversion rate
  • Identify and approach key potential customers, influencers, and partners
  • Travel with Sales to give company and product presentations to key customers and dealers
  • Follow-up with customers via phone / email and assist Sales in closing opportunities / projects
  • Attend Dealer Meetings, tradeshows, roadshows, conferences, and industry events as requested
  • Appropriately represent and promote Astrophysics brand and products to customers, the public, government, and other external sources
  • Assist the Marketing team in other tasks as necessary

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field. MBA a plus.
  • 5-7 years product management or sales experience.
  • Charismatic and outgoing personality with ability to give presentations, drive tradeshow visitors and leads, and professionally represent the Astrophysics brand.
  • Persuasive ability to convey brand and product value.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
