Job description

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team supporting retail store and corporate environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on skills in desktop and laptop troubleshooting, POS system support, printer configuration, and software deployment, with excellent customer service skills to support end-users across various locations.

Note : Candidate must be equally strong in Windows and Mac OS.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Experience : 2–4 years of hands-on desktop support or field support experience in a retail or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 / 11 and basic familiarity with macOS.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) installation, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems and retail IT hardware is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
  • Understanding of networking concepts : TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Ability to support network and local printers in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (for hardware moves / installs when required).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to retail store locations for onsite support.

Preferred Certifications :

  • CompTIA A+
  • Microsoft MCP / MCSA / Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation (a plus)
  • Cisco CCNA (preferred for networking exposure)
