Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team supporting retail store and corporate environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on skills in desktop and laptop troubleshooting, POS system support, printer configuration, and software deployment, with excellent customer service skills to support end-users across various locations.
Note : Candidate must be equally strong in Windows and Mac OS.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Experience : 2–4 years of hands-on desktop support or field support experience in a retail or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 / 11 and basic familiarity with macOS.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) installation, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems and retail IT hardware is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
- Understanding of networking concepts : TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Ability to support network and local printers in enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- Strong customer service orientation with proven problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (for hardware moves / installs when required).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to retail store locations for onsite support.
Preferred Certifications :
CompTIA A+Microsoft MCP / MCSA / Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateITIL Foundation (a plus)Cisco CCNA (preferred for networking exposure)
