Join Our Team as a Diagnostic Technologist – Full-Time

Location : UPMC Williamsport

Schedule : 3 : 30 p.m. – 11 : 30 p.m., including every other weekend and rotating holidays

Sign-On Bonus : Up to $10,000 for qualified candidates!

In this role, you’ll perform a variety of diagnostic radiography procedures that help physicians provide accurate diagnoses and exceptional care.

What You’ll Do :

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures independently, following established protocols

Review patient history, verify physician orders, and ensure proper documentation

Administer oral and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy

Accurately code and track exams in RIS and ensure proper archiving in ISITE

Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor while interacting with patients and staff

Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and ease concerns

Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment in applying prescribed ionizing radiation

Qualifications

Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification of program completion and scheduled graduation date.

Technologists hired prior to graduation will work under indirect supervision by an ARRT-certified diagnostic technologist until degree verification is complete.

Cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT certification is obtained.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

ARRT Registry Eligible as a Radiologic Technologist.

Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire (effective January 1, 2025).

Diagnostic Technologists hired prior to January 1, 2025, must obtain registry within 12 months of hire / transfer date .

Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required within 30 days of hire, based on AHA standards (includes didactic and skills demonstration).

If working in a New York facility , must hold certification from ARRT or NMTCB and be licensed through the New York State Department of Health .

Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting (with renewal)

Act 33 (with renewal)

Act 34 (with renewal)

Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal)
