Job Title : Local Contract - Interventional Radiologist Technologist

N umber of positions : 1

Years of experience : One to three years

Shift : Night shifts- 36 hours

Duration : 13 weeks

Start Date : 01 / 14 / 2024

Hourly pay : $54.77

OT : 1.5

Weekly Pay : $2,053.88

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department : Cardiac Cath Labs

Shift Timings : 07 : 00 - 17 : 00 Monday to friday (4 days / 8 hours)

Per Week : 40 Hours

  • ARRT required 2 years of Neuro IR Lab experience required one day off
  • On-call required, 30 min response time On call 2 nights / week and every third weekend

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
  • Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
  • Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
  • Active unencumbered Indiana Radiology Tech state license
  • One year of Cerner experience
  • ARRT Certification

  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
