Position Overview
The Marketing Research Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Business Development and Sales team by delivering actionable market intelligence and data-driven insights. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, this position bridges the gap between marketing strategy and business development execution. The Analyst is responsible for researching industry trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to equip Business Development Managers with the information they need to identify opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Competitive Research
- Conduct in-depth research on target industries, customer segments, and emerging trends to support BDMs in prospecting and client engagement.
- Monitor and analyze competitor products, services, pricing, and positioning.
- Track market developments and provide intelligence that informs business development strategies.
Business Development Support
Partner with Business Development Managers to prepare tailored insights, presentations, and proposals for client meetings.Provide data-driven recommendations that help identify new markets, growth opportunities, and partnership potential.Analyze past sales and marketing performance to highlight opportunities for improvement.Marketing & Reporting
Report directly to the Marketing Manager, ensuring research aligns with broader marketing objectives and brand positioning.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations summarizing findings for internal stakeholders.Support campaign evaluation and customer segmentation to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with business development goals.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.Experience in marketing research, data analysis, or business intelligence (B2B experience preferred).Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.Proficiency with research and analysis tools (Excel, Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo databases, or similar).Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present insights clearly.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Preferred Skills
Experience supporting sales or business development functions.Familiarity with digital marketing analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Insights, ZoomInfo etc.).Understanding of customer journey mapping and market segmentation techniques.PI278760217
