Job descriptionPrepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work. Use industry-standard software to generate professional proposals and budgets. Compare current bids with historical data to ensure competitive pricing. Solicit pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project requirements. Coordinate with internal teams to validate scope and pricing assumptions. Work closely with sales, operations, and project management teams throughout the bid and build process. Maintain strong relationships with general contractors and clients, providing timely follow-ups and bid clarifications. Stay informed on roofing technologies, building codes, and market trends. Ensure all estimates meet company standards and regulatory guidelines. 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial roofing. Familiarity with roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and coatings. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., The EDGE, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and bid documents. Strong analytical and communication skills. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background check and drug screening. Mix of office work and field visits, including rooftop inspections. Must be comfortable working at heights and using safety equipment. Occasional overtime may be required to meet bid deadlines. Experience with CAD software for shop drawings is a plus. OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a strong asset. Existing relationships with contractors in the local market are highly desirable.

Requirements : 2+ years experience working as a construction estimator (preferably in commercial / residential roofing)

Key Responsibilities :
Project Evaluation & Planning
- Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine project scope.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing roof conditions and gather data for accurate estimating.
- Perform material take-offs and develop scope narratives for bid packages.
