Position Summary : Responsible for assisting in the maintenance, cleanliness, painting, light plumbing, light electrical, carpet cleaning, and upkeep of the physical plant including, building, grounds and all engineering.
Reports to the Director of Environmental Services.
Essential Functions :
- Attends work as scheduled and follows community’s call-off procedures.
- Assists and responds to maintenance work orders in the community in a timely manner.
- Uses the Maintenance Schedule to assist with continuous maintenance of all systems such as, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
- Assists with room turnover.
- Assists with housekeeping duties.
- Ensures outside grounds are clean and free from debris, including porch areas and courtyards.
- Assists in the improvement and repair of general building and grounds.
- Follows daily work plan outlined by supervisor
- Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations.
Non-Essential Functions :
- Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of Spring Hills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Experience and Education : High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or six months related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. General knowledge of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
