Job Overview :
As the Mailroom Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for assisting in the effective operations of our Manhattan corporate office. Your daily responsibilities will include sorting and distributing mail, facilitating messenger envelopes and parcels, and assisting in the daily operations of the office environment.
This in-person opportunity reports to our corporate office in Midtown Manhattan, New York.
Your Responsibilities :
- Sort, log and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Log and track incoming messenger envelopes and parcels that require signatures from multiple carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, Certified Mail, etc.)
- Sort, weigh and stamp outgoing mail
- Assist with the transfer of files and correspondence regarding properties in transition
- Assist associates with mail related inquiries, clerical work and bulk mailings
- Maintain office areas in a neat and orderly fashion
- Assist with the movement of office furniture and files when needed
- Stock and maintain inventory of all office supplies and printer toner
- Resupply all copiers with toners, waste toners, staples and paper and be available to assist with any jams and / or printer / copier issues that may arise
- Assist in the set-up of various events and meetings held in the office
- Help cover the front office desk when receptionist is on break or out, including but not limited to : answering incoming calls, directing visitors where to go and notifying associates of arriving visitors
- Assist with light cleaning duties, such as weekly refrigerator clean-outs, light mopping, and cleaning of the kitchen space.
Skills & Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.1 year experience working in a mailroom or office environment strongly preferred.Ability to leverage office technology including postage machines preferred.Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.Must possess a high energy attitude and an ability to multi-task / prioritize different projects at any given time.Superior oral and written communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Teams.Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.What We Offer :

Compensation :
$ 21.00 - $ 21.60 / hour
