Job Title : Production Associate Level I – Machining Location : Commerce City CO Employment Type : Temporary, 6-month assignment Work Schedule : Monday – Thursday, 6 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM Pay Rate : $24 / hour Job Summary : Operates machines and production equipment in a manufacturing environment while adhering to quality, productivity, and safety standards. Works with limited guidance and participates in machining operations including cleaning, inspection, and basic machining tasks. Key Responsibilities : Machining Operations : Rotate across workstations within the machining area. Perform power wash cleaning of cranks and cylinder blocks. Conduct detailed inspection of crankshafts and cylinder blocks. Use basic polishing machines and hand tools to clean surfaces and threaded holes. Operate cranes and basic measurement equipment (bore gauges, micrometers). Operate a milling machine (for more skilled operators). Support problem-solving investigations and process improvement. Follow documented work instructions and record process results. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) : Report major injury hazards, work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards immediately. Follow HSE standards, procedures, and use appropriate PPE. Correct hazards within your control and minimize environmental impact. Participate in HSE training and promote interdependent safety practices. Quality : Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures (SPC, poka-yoke, visual standards). Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials. Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures. Production Goals : Work at required cycle times or engineering standards. Maintain clean and orderly work areas; perform routine housekeeping and machine maintenance tasks. Assist peers, skilled trades, and support staff with equipment issues. Perform other duties as needed to achieve production goals. Teamwork & Communication : Communicate effectively with team members and support staff. Participate in training and personal development.
