Join Our Team as a Preschool Lead Teacher!

As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in implementing our early childhood curriculum and creating a nurturing classroom atmosphere that reflects the diverse cultures of our students' families. You will lead the daily educational program and collaborate closely with our Assistant Director to ensure a safe and enriching environment for all children.
Salary Range : $48,153 to $56,650, based on expertise.
Your Responsibilities :
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with child outcomes and classroom routines.
- Enhance children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and experiences.
- Supervise and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for all children.
- Involve children and families in developing classroom experiences and prepare instructional materials in a timely manner.
- Support children's self-help skills and overall development.
- Ensure effective classroom management, organization, and cleanliness.
- Maintain daily communication with families through various channels.
- Conduct meetings with families during designated conference times and as needed.
- Keep developmental profiles for each child up to date.
- Lead and collaborate with Associate Teachers and Assistant Teachers to create a cohesive classroom team.
- Work with Curriculum & Instruction Coaches to develop a professional development coaching plan.
- Stay compliant with all state licensing requirements regarding health, safety, and professional standards.
- Complete all required program documentation and reports accurately and on time.
- Act as a role model for child development and maintain confidentiality regarding program, staff, and families.
What We’re Looking For :
Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or Early Childhood Special Education (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).List C certification in the PA ECE Career Pathway (preferred).3+ years of experience in a similar role.Knowledge of Early Childhood Education standards, including NAEYC ethics (preferred).Familiarity with inquiry-based and project approach learning, as well as PBIS strategies (preferred).Experience working with low-income families (preferred).Comfortable with technology, including MS Office Suite, or willing to learn.Strong engagement skills with parents / caregivers, including initiating important discussions.Enthusiastic, responsible, and committed to working in a mission-focused organization.Willingness to accept feedback and be held accountable.Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence, lead, and educate teams.Ability to physically interact with children and lift / move items up to 40 pounds.Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions.Commitment to the mission and values of CHS and MHS, demonstrating integrity as a role model for students.U.S. work authorization and successful completion of pre-employment background checks and clearances.Why Join Us?
