The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, DFAR, and DCAA requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and project accounting, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor indirect rate structures; ensure accurate cost allocations and reporting under FAR, DFAR, and CAS.
- Lead preparation of Incurred Cost Submissions, financial audits, and DCAA reviews.
- Provide financial forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic reporting to executive leadership.
- Drive efficiency and automation by optimizing Deltek Costpoint functionality and integrating related systems.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with Project Control, Contracts, HR, and Operations to align financial performance with business goals.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a government contracting environment.Expert‑level proficiency with Deltek Costpoint (required); experience with Time & Expense or Cognos a plus.In‑depth understanding of FAR, DFAR, CAS, DCAA, and GAAP.Proven experience managing indirect rates, incurred cost submissions, and audit readiness.
