Friedmans Theater District is looking for an experienced grill cook. We are a 200 + seat restaurant, offering breakfast, lunch & dinner.

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Grill Cook to join our culinary team at our busy, fast-paced restaurant in the heart of New York City. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, works well with others, and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and cook all grilled menu items to restaurant standards

Maintain speed and accuracy during high-volume service periods

Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices

Coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service flow

Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards

Keep grill station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service

Qualifications :

Minimum 3 years of experience on the grill in a high-volume restaurant

Strong understanding of cooking temperatures, timing, and execution

Ability to handle multiple tickets while maintaining quality and consistency

Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

NYC Food Handler’s Certificate a plus

Schedule & Compensation :

Full-time position; must have evening and weekend availability; we are looking for both AM & PM grill cooks

Competitive hourly wage plus potential for overtime
