Job description

Florida Design Consultants (FDC) is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Site Development team. We value individuals who demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic , are eager to learn, take initiative, and work well in a team environment. We look for candidates who are humble , driven, and people-smart , with effective communication and collaborative skills.

Overview

FDC fosters a collaborative and respectful work environment where engineers grow professionally while contributing to meaningful projects. The role offers a mix of in-office design and permitting work and outdoor field observation tasks , providing a well-rounded experience in site development engineering.

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an

ABET-accredited university.

Licensure Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam passed.

Experience 0-3 years of relevant experience in site development or civil engineering.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD with a willingness to become an expert in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Soft Skills & Work Ethic

Organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Effective communicator , both verbally and in writing.

Works well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated to take initiative.

Builds strong relationships with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies

Other Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without the need for H-1B sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop creative and effective solutions for clients.

Assist in site development design , including grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting.

Conduct field observations to ensure construction aligns with design plans.

Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies

Seek mentorship and feedback to enhance technical and professional skills.

Contribute to a positive and respectful team culture , upholding FDC's values of collaboration, integrity, and commitment to excellence
