DESCRIPTION : The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler is focused on improving workforce productivity and work quality for a Manufacturing Plant by eliminating potential delays and obstacles through the planning process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Planning and scheduling of all maintenance work
- Acts as the liaison and coordinator between the operations and maintenance organizations.
- Maintains appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results of work complete.
- Supports the maintenance supervisor to keep up to date the appropriate preventive maintenance for each piece of equipment.
- Performs daily review of mechanic schedules to ensure 100% labor hours are scheduled.
- Compares required parts list against available inventory and purchase required parts prior to start date.
- Supports the identification of critical inventory.
- Perform cycle counts to ensure optimal stock levels, Min / Max levels and obsolete parts.
- Report total inventory cost.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensures all PM routines are consistently reviewed and improved upon
- Tracks departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as identified and performs analysis for improvement.
- Coordinates both internal and external resources.
- Provides CMMS subject matter expertise for the site.
- Creates Pos for spare parts inventory
- Contractor Management

QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for consistently maintaining safe quality food products by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring visitors, contractors and customers are documented on each visit in and out of the facility to maintain good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense / food security and HACCP controls.
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
- Exhibit an understanding of quality standards and the ability to speak to Finlays quality systems.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- 2+ years of related experience
- Mechanical / electrical trade background or equivalent technical school background desired
- Working knowledge in current site CMMS
- Associate degree or equivalent preferred
- Good administrative and mathematical skills with willingness to handle paperwork.
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tool
- Have good planning and organizational skills.
- Understanding of the proper use of work orders, priorities, scheduling, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 20 Lbs.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred, not required.
- Proficient spoken and written English.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

- Excessive standing, sitting & repetitive motions.
