Job Summary
The classification of Supervisor Ramp & Passenger Services includes managing, coordinating and controlling airport activities for both Ramp Services and Passenger Service functions; monitors the quantity and quality of work performance; directing personnel within assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; participating in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; training subordinates, ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations, Company standards and contractual agreements; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements.
Ramp Service Functions
- loading and unloading of cargo on and off aircraft
- the transporting of cargo between terminals and aircraft
- the ramp transfers of cargo where required
- the receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight and company material
- the completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described
Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check-in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights in a safe and timely mannerMay also be responsible for baggage service functions of filing loss, damage, and pilferage claimsOffers efficient and professional customer service and resolves passenger problems as requiredCoordinates with all departments to ensure operational needs are met, including catering, fueling, and maintenance companiesActs as company representative when assignedReports to work on a regular and timely basisMinimum Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to work weekends, holidays and days offPreferred Skills
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English languageCognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgmentAbility to handle stress and work with minimal supervisionPhysical Requirements / Working Conditions
