POSITION OVERVIEW

We are representing a Fortune 500 Aerospace / Defense organization who is actively seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to manage their flagship operation. This company has been named by as a TOP PLACES TO WORK which is predicated on culture, employee compensation & benefits, and overall job satisfaction. This candidate will report directly to the VP / General Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!

• Candidate will report to the General Manager while having a strong dotted line relationship with the Divisional Director of Quality.
• Complete financial / budgetary ownership of department
• Candidate will assume ownership over both the plant quality function while working cross functionally with different departments
• Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
• Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
• Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing.

Note : This is a "working manager position" that would have 1 direct report.
