Overview

Type : Contract, W2 only

Duration : 6+ months with possible extension

Location : onsite in Tucson, AZ

Pay : $38 / hr-$42 / hr max, DOE, all-inclusive (no benefits package provided during the contract period)

A global biotechnology leader is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer with experience in electro-mechanical devices. The Associate System Engineer will apply intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices and implementation in complex systems and assignments. General responsibilities include design concept, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions; assistance with the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to use company concepts, policies and procedures, become familiar with and follow standard practices.
  • Work on projects of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
  • Make suggestions to improve work processes.
  • Assist in reducing to practice patentable inventions.
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practice to determine appropriate action.
  • Participate in technical team activities.
  • Present and discuss data within group.
  • Monitor work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 0-3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of basic and some specialized engineering techniques.
  • Skilled with use of word processing, spreadsheets, graphical and presentation software applications.
