Technology is at the heart of Disney’s past, present, and future. Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology (DEEP&T) is a global organization of engineers, product developers, designers, technologists, data scientists, and more – all working to build and advance the technological backbone for Disney’s media business globally.

The team marries technology with creativity to build world‑class products, enhance storytelling, and drive velocity, innovation, and scalability for our businesses. We are Storytellers and Innovators. Creators and Builders. Entertainers and Engineers. We work with every part of The Walt Disney Company’s media portfolio to advance the technological foundation and consumer media touchpoints serving millions of people around the world.

Why you’d love working here :

  • Building the future of Disney’s media : Our Technologists are designing and building the products and platforms that will power our media, advertising, and distribution businesses for years to come.
  • Reach, Scale & Impact : More than ever, Disney’s technology and products serve as a signature doorway for fans’ connections with the company’s brands and stories. Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, ABC, ABC News…and many more. These products and brands – and the unmatched stories, storytellers, and events they carry – matter to millions of people globally.
  • Innovation : We develop and implement groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms, and solve complex and distinctive technical problems.

Commerce, Data & Identity (CDI) provides the core product management functions for areas crucial to Disney’s media businesses. These include initiatives and products that power digital commerce, identity, and growth, as well as those that reach uniquely across The Walt Disney Company enterprise, such as messaging and privacy, among others. Additionally, it is responsible for the data engineering, science, and products for Disney Entertainment & ESPN, along with their interconnection with other parts of The Walt Disney Company.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager II in the Subscriber Data Product team, which sits within the Commerce, Data & Identity (CDI) organization. This team develops core subscriber data products and solutions that fuel the commerce engine — driving growth, enabling monetization at scale, and guiding key business decisions through high quality data. This role will partner closely with engineering, data science, product, and business stakeholders to define and execute a roadmap that delivers high‑impact data products. The role requires a strategic thinker with deep data expertise, capable of translating ambiguous business needs into actionable product roadmaps while balancing scalability, performance, and privacy compliance. Join us in delivering scalable, high‑quality data solutions that power world‑class entertainment monetization and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and define the vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Analytics, Privacy, Governance, and Business Teams to build scalable, compliant, and highly available data products
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement, prioritizing intake requests, defining requirements, and ensuring timely, compliant data delivery
  • Develop and maintain clear product documentation, including detailed product briefs, roadmaps, and success metrics
  • Identify and mitigate risks, addressing key blockers and dependencies across teams
  • Champion data governance and privacy compliance, ensuring adherence to evolving regulatory landscapes while maintaining business agility
  • Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in data product management, platform development, data engineering, or related fields
  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional engineering teams and vendor relationships
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements and deliver scalable, high‑impact data solutions
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure success through data‑driven insights
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Economics, or equivalent
  • Advanced CS degree or MBA is a plus
  • Shown experience in video streaming, OTT, and subscription based services
  • Experience working with data ingestion APIs, warehouse infrastructure, and data sharing technologies
  • Familiarity with B2B2C partnerships or commerce / growth product
  • Familiarity with big data storage, processing technologies, and modeling techniques (Druid, Kafka, Snowflake, Redshift, star schema, OLAP, etc.)
