Groundskeeper

Our Facilities department is in search of a hard-working team player to join us as a Groundskeeper. You’ll enjoy working in a beautiful setting to perform lawn care and maintenance duties for our property including mowing, fertilizing, mulching, edging, raking, pruning, and any additional landscaping tasks.

Responsibilities :
- Help the crew team with landscape design, landscape installation, landscape construction, and landscape maintenance
- Use pesticide for weed control when necessary
- Complete lawn care, groundskeeping, and lawn maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, raking, fertilizing, mulching, and pruning
- Maintain flower beds with a sprinkler or irrigation system
Qualifications :
- Familiarity with hand tools and maintenance equipment including blowers, chain saws, edgers, rakes, clippers, hedge trimmers, and lawnmowers
- At least 2 years of experience as a crew member landscaping for residential or commercial properties
- In good physical condition with excellent health
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification
- Must be a hard-worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
- Creative troubleshooting ability
- Trustworthy, punctual, reliable, coachable, self-starting, communicative
- Respect for the environment
- In good physical condition and able to lift up to 60lbs
- Experience working with landscape equipment including riding and walking behind lawnmowers, chainsaws, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sidewalk edgers, weed trimmers, sprayers, and motorized golf carts

In 1951, the Casa de Paz y Bien began as a Catholic retreat center in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Now, as the Franciscan Renewal Center (still affectionately called the Casa) we offer opportunities for spiritual growth, healing and transformation, and service to others.
The Casa was founded by and is today an active religious community of the Order of Friars Minor, following the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi.
The Casa is guided by the Franciscan friars and works cooperatively with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix.
