Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A middle school in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a Special Education Teacher for a contract position spanning from August 18, 2024, to June 2025. This role involves working Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The position focuses on providing specialized instruction and support within a middle school setting, specifically for bined 6th and 7th-grade classes in ELA, as well as inclusion support in social studies, science, and math.

Key responsibilities include :

• Delivering tailored instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities
• Collaborating closely with general education teachers to support inclusion practices
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
• Participating in team meetings and maintaining strong munication with families and staff
