Base pay range

$120,000.00 / yr - $145,000.00 / yr

Position

System Integration Engineer – will integrate software into test suites at Schriever, focusing on virtual servers, and develop site and event-specific configurations to support tests, war games, and exercise events. They will operate and troubleshoot systems during test events, collaborate with external National Team (CLAW) personnel, and work with Operations and Sustainment teams and Level-II support personnel to address installation and processing challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate software into test suites and develop site / event configurations to support tests, war games, and exercise events
  • Operate and troubleshoot systems during test events; collaborate with external teams to resolve lab issues
  • Create and modify scripts to extract data from log files and perform data analysis
  • Document test results, author test plan documents and procedures, and generate Test Discrepancy Reports
  • Support software development teams by investigating and resolving issues
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures and execute detailed test plans in an integrated environment
  • Plan and lead integration tests with external elements and sensors
  • Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, testing, and network documentation; attend meetings to represent the Integration team
  • Fill in and assume Team Lead responsibilities as needed; support managerial duties including budgeting, scheduling, scope, estimating, and SCRUM Master support

Qualifications

  • Self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology
  • Experience with operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot), development systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis); familiarity with off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages is a plus
  • Ability to develop integration plans and procedures from functional and technical requirements; execute detailed integration processes and present findings
  • Experience working with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for small to large-scale infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Systems Integration and System / Software Testing, including virtualized environments
  • Hands-on experience with Linux / UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment
  • Knowledge of system design and integration into operational environments
  • High proficiency with VMware, virtual servers, and UNIX, including shell scripting
  • Experience in test plan and procedure development and test execution
  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Active IAT Level 2 certification required (Security+ or equivalent)
  • Security Clearance

  • Minimum : Active Secret DoD Security Clearance required
  • Preferred : Top Secret DoD Security Clearance

    Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

    Estimated Pay Range

    $120,000 USD - $145,000 USD
