Job Summary
Responsible for managing a team that supports finance & accounting processes and systems-related initiatives, including but not limited to implementing new technology to advance accounting and finance capabilities, leading financial technology upgrade projects and related process improvements, working through technology integration and disintegration activities for financial systems, and providing ongoing training and support for financial systems.
Essential Functions
- Leads functional staff (end-users) in developing, testing, and implementing enhanced processes through use of financial systems.
- Manages the technology development needs of the finance & accounting functions as well ongoing support post-implementation.
- Leads transformational projects, software implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Drives continuous improvement mindset and develops innovative processes, procedures and / or tools to support analysis of business performance.
- Ensures Accounting and Finance requirements are identified and documented at the appropriate stage of systems projects, identifies and addresses opportunities and risks for stakeholders throughout projects, and ensures that delivered solutions will meet Accounting and Finance needs.
- Develops strong working relationships with IT and key stakeholders in Accounting, Finance, and organizational leadership.
- Prepares desk procedures and training documentation and conducts live training sessions for end-users on new and existing software.
- Identifies, executes, and / or facilitates necessary testing prior to moving system changes to production.
- Performs or tests system related controls related to data completeness and consistency, system access, etc.
- Facilitates resolution of issues identified in production environments.
- Assigns, monitors, and facilitates work of staff analysts.
- Coaches, develops, and provides feedback to staff.
Education Description
Requires a bachelor's degree or higher with a focus in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience
Requires 7+ years of experience in management information systems, accounting, or finance.Experience working in an environment exposing the candidate to project management, process improvement, system development, software implementation, training, and / or change management preferred.Experience working in SAP strongly preferred.Experience with SQL preferred.We want you to know
