Lead Analyst - Retail

Infosys is a global leader in technology services and consulting. Infosys is currently hiring a Functional Consultant for our Analytics team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for solving business problem for our Retail / CPG clients through data driven insights.

Your role will combine a blend of Retail / CPG domain, Analytical experience, Client interfacing skills, and solution design and business acumen so your insights not only enlighten the clients but also pave the way for launching deeper into future analysis.

You will advise clients and internal teams through short burst high-impact engagements on identifying business problem, solving business problem through suitable approaches and techniques pertaining to learning and technology.

You will effectively communicate data-derived insights to non-technical audiences appropriately and mentor junior or aspiring consultant / data scientists.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Candidate must be located at Raleigh, NC , Indianapolis, IN, Richardson, Tx or Lisle, IL or willing to relocate.
• 50% travel might be required.

• Strong experience interpreting data sets and organizing into presentations and models for use in business strategies in Retail / CRM.
• Strong experience in solving Retail / CPG business problems likes - sales forecasting, inventory optimization, route optimization, demand shaping and planning,
• 4+ years applied experience in exploratory data analysis, devising, deploying and servicing statistical models
• Fluent in using one or more of analytical tools - Python, SAS or equivalent statistical analysis software

Preferred Qualifications :

• Undergraduate / Graduate from notable University in area Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or economics / liberal arts.
• 4+ years experience with CPG / Retail / logistic / supply chain domain (Consulting / Business Intelligence / analytics)
• Knowledge of visualization tool - Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview and PowerBI

The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.

Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
