Forklift Driver - Shipping and Receiving
Description
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures
- Notify manager immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to accurately complete simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division transactions.
- Accurately load and unload trucks using the bar coding system.
- Accurately complete various shipping and receiving documentation.
- Operate lift truck mounted computer and understand proper procedures for the bar coding system
- Must be able to use a computer, calculator, copier and any other necessary equipment.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- May perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
- Lakeside Lift truck license is required
- Maybe required to work pack hours during the seasonal pack.
- Will be required to work up to 12 hours per day six days per week as required by management.
- Must be able to work with others to accomplish assigned tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Knowledge :
High School is recommended
Experienced Lift Truck Driver
Language Skills :
Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to accurately and effectively communicate with other employees and with
truck drivers. You must have the ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
Reasoning Ability :
You must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand : walk : use hands and fingers to handle or
feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
