Lean Production Team Lead

A night in the life

It’s 8 : 00 PM at Alliance Laundry Systems. You kick off the overnight shift by gathering your production cell for a focused huddle—safety reminders, quality checkpoints, HR notes, and the plan to hit tonight’s goals. With 8–12 teammates looking to you, you set expectations, coach new hires, and make sure everyone has the right PPE. Throughout the night, you guide the work, track KPIs, and keep momentum high in a fast-paced, well-structured environment where integrity and teamwork come first.

What you’ll do

• Lead the pre-shift meeting and align the team on safety, quality, HR topics, and production targets.
• Onboard and train new team members; serve as their go-to resource.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed; obtain and distribute PPE as needed.
• Champion continuous improvement ideas with your team and support implementation.
• Raise any systemic or production issues to the Group Leader promptly.
• Maintain shift-to-shift communication with other Team Leads and Leaders.
• Update and monitor area KPIs and related performance metrics.
• Create, maintain, and audit Team Member Standard Work.
• Own Hour by Hour Boards, 5S audits, DuPont STOP observations, and work stacks.
• Coach through conflict and partner with Group and Area Leaders to reach resolution.
• Use SAP to support the manufacturing process.
• Pitch in with other tasks as needed to keep the line moving.

Schedule

3rd Shift : 8 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM, Sunday through Thursday morning; overtime may run Thursday night into Friday morning.
