IT Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand technology needs and recommend suitable IT solutions.
• Develop system design and specifications, including data models, architecture, and functional specs for hardware or software solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve efficiency, security, and effectiveness of IT systems.
• Assist in software development and programming tasks when custom solutions are required.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues; provide support to end-users and helpdesk teams.
• Conduct testing and quality assurance activities to ensure reliability and functionality of IT systems.
• Create and maintain documentation such as technical specifications, system configurations, and user manuals.
• Monitor and enforce IT security policies and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Analyze data to provide insights and reports supporting decision-making processes and business objectives.
• Provide training and guidance to end-users and technical support teams.
• Collaborate with vendors and external service providers to evaluate and procure IT products and services.

Qualifications

Environment & Physical Requirements

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside. Frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle objects and tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds; maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
