The accounting coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative duties to support the company's financial operations. This position ensures the accuracy of financial data, assists with payables and receivables, and maintains organized and efficient accounting processes.

Job Responsibilities :

Enter new vendors into the accounting system

Process and scan purchase card (p-card) receipts into the accounting software

Enter and reconcile Accounts Payable to match vendor statements; resolve discrepancies directly with vendors

Process weekly check runs and checks as needed on demand, initiate ACH payment

Enter time for weekly payroll processing

Develop expertise in all aspects of the company's accounting software and processes.

Apply cash receipts to customer accounts in the accounting system

Review the Aging of Receivables regularly and pursue collection of outstanding balances

Reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly (including AP and p-card accounts)

Produce and analyze various financial reports using Excel

Crosstrain with other accounting team members to support professional development and maintain consistency across accounting functions

Enter environmental data into the EMCOR Assurance system

Required Job Skills & Qualifications :

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Proficiency with industry-standard accounting software and Microsoft Excel
