Consumer Litigation Associate (Midlevel)

Steptoe LLP seeks a mid-level litigation Associate to join the Firm's New York office, working primarily with our Consumer Litigation practice group on behalf of financial institution clients. Qualified candidates will have 4 to 6 years of litigation experience and be familiar with practicing in New York state and federal courts as well as in arbitration. Experience representing financial institutions, and / or litigating claims arising under banking, privacy and / or consumer protection laws is a plus.

Candidates should be prepared to assume significant responsibility in the management of their matters, and to take on a front-facing role with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.

New York bar membership, excellent academic credentials, and strong writing and analytical skills are required. Steptoe offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that offers training and mentorship.

We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that provides training and mentorship. The anticipated salary range is $310,000 to $390,000. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
