*** 1st Shift Hours: 5:00AM - 2:45PM ***

*** 2nd Shift Hours: 2:30PM - 12:00AM (There is a $2.00 differential per hour worked) ***

About the role: This position can be responsible for several manufacturing tasks. As a Forklift Operator, Crane Operator, Machine Operator you will not be limited to feeding raw materials into machinery, load and unload moving material, lift heavy objects by hand, clean work area, which includes machines, equipment and monitoring the production process. Additionally, this person will carry out basic checks such as testing of products and packaging per company standards before shipping by adequately storing all necessary supplies.

• You have experience in conveying material from storage or work sites to designated areas, using hand truck or an electric dolly.
• You will load, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Education And/or Experience is highly preferred (High School or Trade School).
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must have basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.
• Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment.

Safety:

• Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.
• Wears and maintains all required PPE.
• Keeps always assigned work area clean.
• Understands all safety devices and their operation. Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation.
• Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications.
• Background with manufacturing methods and procedures, process improvement programs and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• The Military Equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Standing 8 or more hours per day
• Walking - Off and on, 4-6 hours per day
• Body Positions - Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms
• Grasping - Both hands, up to 8-hours per day
• Sitting - None
• Pushing Effort - Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50lbs
• Pulling - Tools and finished product, up to 50lbs
• Climbing - ladders/stairs, occasionally

Mathematical Skills

• Basic Mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals
• Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer accurately

Work Environment

• Manufacturing facility - exposed to heat and cold
• Personal Protective Equipment always required
• Controlled Noise environment
• Activity level high - continuous overhead crane and forklift movement
