Additionally patients may have comorbid substance abuse disorders and medical comorbidities. The adult inpatient unit consist of 28 beds.

Behavioral Health Geriatric UnitBehavioral Health Geriatric Unit providing the treatment of individuals age 65 and over with acute psychiatric illness or symptom exasperation of severe mental health disorders.

Additionally patients may have more common medical comorbidities associated with chronic illnesses. The geriatric inpatient unit consist of 10 beds.

GENERAL OVERVIEW : Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of the healthcare organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES : Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population.

10%)Provides detailed and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them through the episode of care as well as transition to another level of care and / or home.
