Job Title : Physical Therapist

Shift : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Current licensure as a Physical Therapist

Certifications : Earned degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy

Must-Have : Flexibility to work in continually changing conditions and ability to lift and move patients

Job Description :

• Evaluate, consult, and treat patients, ensuring they progress to their prior level of function or reach maximum medical improvement per the Plan of Care.
• Perform appropriate assessments on each patient, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations, with reassessments as per policy.
• Maintain records pertinent to patient care, including progress reports, daily notes, and special reports as requested.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, providing instruction and guidance as needed.
• Communicate astutely with employees, physicians, visitors, patients / families, and administration.
• Operate equipment and provide hands-on assessment and assistance to patients.
• Provide effective counseling to patients and their families.
• Work in multiple settings, including inpatient and outpatient, with occasional weekend coverage for evaluations.
• Handle stress of meeting deadlines and busy environments, with exposure to emergency situations and extended hours as necessary.
