  • Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient / family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.\n
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.\n
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.\n
  • Previous OR Experience Required \n\nDay to Day duties : \n
  • Circulate and / or Scrub on all cases.\n
  • GEN, Ortho, Spine, Urology, ENT. Robotics assisted (DaVinci SI / MAKO) Ortho cases (total Knee / Hip replacement).\n
  • Associates are cross trained for all services, no specialized service Teams.\n
  • Giving breaks and / or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.\n
  • Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next days cases.\n
  • Acting as an advocate for patient before, during and after surgery.\n\n8 OR Suites\n\nApprox. 180-200+ cases per month\n\nSchedule : 36hrs / week- Variable shifts per surgical volume and current unit needs- 3x 12hrs or 4x 9hrs- TBD during interviews with OR managers.\n\nCall is required for most positions. Variable per needs / surgical volume of unit. Call in rotation with team.\n\n30Min callback radius required\n\nQualifications\n\nIn addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following : \n\nEducation Requirements\n
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement\n
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred\n
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs\n\nExperience Requirements\n
  • One year experience preferred\n
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty\n\nLicenses / Certification Requirements\n
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact\n\nPhysical Requirements\n
  • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and / or up to 20lbs frequently, and / or up to 10lbs constantly)\n\nYour Connected Community\n\nAt CommonSpirit Mountain Region, we believe in the healing power of humanity and serving the common good through our dedicated work and shared mission to celebrate humankindness.\n\nThe Surgery department at St. Mary-Corwin offers a variety of service lines including ENT, General, Ortho / Spine and Urology. Robotic-assisted total knee and hip replacements are an exciting addition to our orthopedic service line. We have eight ORs, three endoscopy suites and a perioperative unit consisting of 23 pre / post beds. We average 45 surgical cases per week, and 15 endoscopy cases per day. We strive to maintain safe, high-quality care throughout the entire surgical and perioperative experience. Perioperative and operative nursing is an exciting venue of nursing that focuses on the safe preparation, procedure, and recovery of patients. This requires broad knowledge base, critical thinking skills and flexible skillsets. In the surgical and perioperative setting, we understand the value of each one of our team members and our employees are supportive and love to each other.\n\n"At St Mary Corwin we're looking for Team players looking to join our small close-knit Team.
