Senior Engineering Talent Acquisition Specialist | Embedded SW in Metro Detroit area (Infotainment and Autonomous)
We're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team and help shape innovative building and component designs that blend performance, functionality, and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for complex components and assemblies using CAD software
- Manage project data with strict version control, ensuring all design documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Translate customer specifications —including performance goals, materials, and manufacturing requirements—into robust, manufacturable designs.
- Collaborate closely with program managers, engineers, and client representatives to align design deliverables with project timelines and expectations.
- Conduct packaging and interference analyses for assemblies, ensuring proper clearances and fit within complex systems.
- Review designs for manufacturing feasibility and compliance with materials, finishes, and process guidelines.
- Support engineering validation and testing activities, providing design updates and technical input as needed.
- Participate in design reviews , presenting concepts and progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on experience in building systems design , such as structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical hardware / routing, or interior / exterior components.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and BIM Collaborate preferred. Candidates with CATIA V5 or Siemens NX experience in building or component design are also encouraged to apply.Familiarity with single-family residential design is a plus.A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field—or equivalent technical certification and relevant experience.Strong communication and collaboration skills with a keen eye for design precision and manufacturability.Seniority level
