Dog Kennel Shift Leader

Silverbrook Kennels located on over 10 park-like acres in the Fredericksburg / Stafford area is in search of candidates to fill the position of evening Shift Leader. Schedule will typically be 2PM - 10PM. Previous kennel experience required. Weekends and Holidays are required. Silverbrook Kennels is a top quality dog boarding and training facility. The right candidate will provide leadership, and shift supervision to our Kennel Staff. This person will be responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean and well organized. Candidate will make the safety and comfort of dogs and staff a priority. Duties include : Examine and observe animals to detect signs of illness, disease, or injury. Ensure that dogs are fed, watered and aired according to schedules and feeding instructions. Mix food, liquid formulas, medications, or food supplements according to instructions, prescriptions, and knowledge of animal species. Collect and record animal information such as weight, size, physical condition, treatments received, medications given, and food intake Coordinate day care and exercise programs to ensure dogs have superior experiences Respond to questions from clients, and provide information about our programs and services Performs office administration including checking clients in / out, scheduling appointments Must have strong communication and organizational skills Outstanding customer service experience is required Assist with ensuring facility is well maintained and safe Starting Hourly Rate is $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Must be at least 18 years old. Shifts would typically be 2PM - 10PM, and will vary. Weekends and Holidays are required.
