Logistics Operations Excellence Manager

Project Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement : Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

As the Logistics Operations Excellence Manager, you will own and drive the end-to-end strategy for continuous improvement for Kuiper Transportation at global scale. Continuous improvement includes diving deep into existing processes and procedures and working backward from stakeholders and business leaders to drive operational efficiencies.

Key job responsibilities :

• Own end to end strategy for system integration and continuous improvement, working with various stakeholders including but not limited to : Supply Chain, Global Trade, and Finance to achieve Kuiper goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Logistics Service Providers and Suppliers.
• Develop and maintain program KPIs, metrics reporting systems, and regular business reviews (WBR / MBR).
• Develop long-term shipment forecast models that inform Kuiper Transportation business leaders.
• Develop comprehensive logistics plans encompassing ocean, warehousing (bonded / non-bonded), and ground delivery where none exist currently.
• Develop risk assessments and standard operating procedures, drive continuous improvement.
• Develop strategic cost optimization budget forecast (supporting OP1 / OP2) and lead cost optimization efforts.
• Identify and implement scalable solutions to support Kuiper Transportation team goals.

Success in the role will be measured by cost improvement, operational consistency, and overall predictiveness of transportation.
