Vectrona is seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven Maritime Expeditionary Security Group 1 (MESG-1) Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Navy Expeditionary operations.
This role requires deep operational expertise and proven experience in small boat operations, tactical planning, and training assessment. Some travel may be required.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide monthly Squadron Qualification Status Report, Schools Report, and Watch Team Replacement Plan
- Record unit assessment results and training event completions; complete unit Assessment Cards following each assessment event
- Maintain and update unit-level SIPR DRRS records, including Commander's Comments
- Draft OFRP / FRTP training messages for release with appropriate classification
- Maintain Personnel and Training Pillar data in both NIPR and SIPR RCRP
- Interface with MESG-1 management at all levels to ensure program objectives are met
Preferred Education / Degree
20+ years of leadership experience as a U.S. Navy officer or senior enlistedMinimum of 5 years of operational security boat experience across multiple tours in one or more of the following :U.S. Navy Special Warfare Combatant Crewman (SWCC)U.S. Navy MESF Company / Team / Training and Evaluation Unit (TEU)At least 5 years of tactical and leadership experience in a maritime expeditionary environmentDemonstrated proficiency in security boat operations, including :Coxswain skills and maritime navigationTactical small boat operations and systems knowledgeWeapons employment and night / low-visibility navigation with VAS or NVGsExperience with logistical movement and transport of small craft and gearTactical operations planning experience using military decision-making processesQualified or able to qualify as a Second Class Swimmer per NETC P1552 / 16Capable of planning and assessing training in classroom and underway environmentsProficiency in Navy readiness reporting systems including ASM, RCRP, FLTMPS, NTIMS, DRRS-NStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsU.S. CitizenshipPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
