Range 24 : Step 1 begins at $20.47 per hour however, with Superintendent or designee approval and written verification of work experience beyond the job description requirements, beginning salary placement could be as high as Step 6, $26.13 per hour.

Education Requirement

Graduation from high school or equivalent. Coursework in childcare, psychology, education preferred.

Experience requirement

(IV) One year of experience working or volunteering with children with disabilities in a learning environment. Experience in a classroom setting preferred.

Additional Requirement

Pass a District proficiency test in English usage, language arts and mathematics, or pass California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), or have completed two years (60 semester units) of college.

License Requirement

Valid First Aid and CPR certificates as authorized by an American Heart Association or American Red Cross provider.
