The Entry-Level Payroll Specialist will support the payroll team in processing accurate and timely payrolls using UKG Pro This role involves assisting with data entry, timekeeping, auditing, and responding to employee inquiries. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a basic understanding of payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in processing biweekly or weekly payroll using UKG software.
- Enter, review, and verify employee time and attendance data from UKG Dimensions or Workforce systems.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and status changes.
- Audit payroll reports for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and timesheets in a timely manner.
- Support payroll tax filing processes by ensuring correct withholding and reporting.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports as requested by management or HR.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate benefits and deductions are applied.
- Assist with year-end processes such as W-2 and 1099 preparation.
Qualifications :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).0-2 years of payroll or accounting experience; internship experience is a plus.Familiarity with UKG Pro (UltiPro) or similar HRIS / payroll software preferred.Basic understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Compensation : $50,000 to $55,000 annually
