Goldfish Swim School is seeking applications for a Swim Instructor in Stamford CT.

Job summary : The Swim Instructor is responsible for instructing students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.

Duties and responsibilities :

• Provides one-on-one swim instruction with students based on the GSS curriculum.
• Evaluates student progress and submits daily reports.
• Acts as a GSS ambassador with parents / guardians on the development of students swim skills
• Promotes safety rules and regulations and follows reporting procedures.
• Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Makes rescues and administers first aid / CPR when necessary.
• Provides assistance to students and other teachers as needed.
• Attend workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours.
• Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.

Work environment : Swim instructors spend the majority of their working time in the pool with students. While performing this job the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.

Compensación : $16.60 per hour
