INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE
The opening is for a GRAVEYARD shift Sunday through Thursday (12 : 00 am - 8 : 30 am) but must be flexible to work additional hours and other shifts.
On-Site work in Vacaville is required on a home-centric hybrid telework agreement. Applicants should anticipate working at the Vacaville location at least 8 days a month.
State Fund’s Information Technology (IT) Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) Unit has an immediate opening for an Information Technology Associate (ITA).
Under general supervision of the IT Supervisor I, the ITA will provide direct support to and work with IT Tier 2 units and internal customers (State Fund business units).
The NOCC provides infrastructure monitoring of State Fund’s network, applications and Data Center hardware on a 24 X 7 basis.
As an Information Technology Associate, you will :
- Provide infrastructure monitoring of the network, applications and Data Center hardware on a 24 x 7 basis.
- Work with Network Operations Tier 2 technical teams on an as needed basis and during Severity Incident cases
- Communicate status to IT and Business Management continuously throughout the Severity Incident resolution phase
- Regulate and control physical access to the Data Center
- Process and route incident case tickets to be resolved to the 2nd Tier Support Teams
- Conduct necessary first level analysis and correlation of alerts or incident cases for escalation
- Work on technical projects for NOCC and / or act as resource for other projects for Tier 2 teams
- Maintain an awareness of scheduled activities pertaining to the infrastructure.
Geographic requirement : Local onsite support is required for Data Center support, projects, and / or network infrastructure technical assistance during business hours as well as after-hours.
New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable.
Placement to alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.
