JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Title : Obstetrics / Gynecology Physician
  • Job Type : Locum Tenens
  • Location : Stayton, OR
  • Service Setting : Acute Care Hospital
  • Coverage Type : Clinical + Call
  • Coverage Period : 09 / 08 / 2025 3 months (with option to extend until position is filled)
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : Optional clinic work if provider desires
  • On-Call Shift Schedule : 24-hour beeper call (off-site), 1 : 4 ratio
  • Call Type : Beeper
  • Call Ratio : 1 : 4
  • Call Response Time : As required by facility
  • Callback Rate : Variable, typically 2 calls per weekend or up to 67 based on volume COVERAGE DATES
  • 09 / 08 08 / 2025 (with possible extension)

  • Patient Volume / Census : Approximately 15 cases / month
  • Admissions : Yes

  • Case Mix : Obstetrics, Gynecology, Laparoscopic GYN procedures

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • No. of Beds in Department : Part of 40-bed hospital
  • EMR System : Epic
  • Office Equipment Available : Standard OB / GYN clinical and surgical equipment
  • Specialty Backup Available : Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), CRNA for anesthesia, Family Medicine MD for newborn care, 2 full-time OB / GYNs, and 2 consistent locums
  • Support Staff Available : CNMs, CRNA, Family Medicine MD, OB / GYN colleagues
  • Reason for Coverage : Vacancy until permanent hire is made

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available : Not specified
  • Credentialing Timeline : Less than 30 days for locums

  • Licenses : Oregon medical license (willing to license if not held)
  • Board : Board Certified in Obstetrics / Gynecology
  • DEA : Active DEA required
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years in OB / GYN practice
  • Other Qualifications : Proficiency with laparoscopic GYN cases
