Overview
In this role the Design Associate II - Interiors will perform basic design and production of construction document duties assigned by Licensed Professional. This person will work to fulfill experience requirements for eligibility to take professional licensing exam.
Job Responsibilities :
Conceptual Design
Analysis Ability
Performs dimensional, interference and basic design checks on the layouts and sketches of Licensed Professional and, as requested, on interdisciplinary drawing sets.
Applies discipline design and detailing fundamentals in developing designs and specifications under the supervision of and subject to final approval by the Lead Professional.
Produces well-organized, finished design documents of good appearance, accuracy, clarity and correctness from layouts, sketches or written instructions.
Subject to final approval of Lead Professional, checks shop drawings and submittal data for conformance with contract documents.
Creates work plan for assigned tasks. Monitors and projects personal workload status, advising supervisor of difficulties in accomplishing schedules.
Adhere to project strategy.

Environmental Factors and / or Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application / form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
