About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager 6 – Food & Nutrition Services to lead daily operations at our facility, in Washington, DC. This senior leadership role oversees all aspects of Food & Nutrition operations, including patient meal services, retail dining, doctors’ lounge, and catering. The ideal candidate will bring a strong focus on nursing collaboration, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and team development while driving operational excellence and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and oversight for Food & Nutrition Services, ensuring high-quality service delivery across patient dining, retail, and catering operations.
• Lead and mentor department managers, supervisors, and staff to promote engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with hospital leadership and nursing teams to enhance patient satisfaction and experience.
• Ensure regulatory and food safety compliance with all applicable standards (including DC-specific requirements).
• Develop and execute operational strategies that meet Sodexo’s standards for quality, safety, and financial goals.
• Monitor and manage departmental budgets, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure alignment with financial targets.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, staff development, and innovation.
• Strengthen client relationships by delivering strategic insights, process improvements, and measurable outcomes.
