Software Developer - AI Focus

We are currently seeking a Software Developer to join our Design Technology team at HOK, a global design, architecture, engineering and planning firm.

As an AI-focused Software Developer, you will be responsible for working with internal teams to develop custom software applications and integrate AI capabilities into workflows while contributing to open-source projects managed by HOK.

Responsibilities under this role include, but are not limited to :

• Provides expertise and advisement in the development of software solutions for enterprise and project teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into software applications.
• Conduct research of the latest advancements in AI technology.
• Provide support and assistance to internal teams.
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
• Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work.

Required Skills

• Experience with frontend web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript / Typescript, React, Electron, or similar.
• Experience with backend and storage technologies like Node.JS, ASP.NET, SQL, MongoDB.
• Experience with programming / scripting languages such as : C#, Python, C++.
• Experience with LLMs like OpenAI, and tools like Ollama for local LLMs.
• Experience with Stable Diffusion, A1111, ComfyUI and Loras as plus.
• Ability to effectively meet and accommodate deadlines on multiple projects.
• Ability to work in a team environment. Experience using GIT in a collaborative manner a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and provide timely feedback and guidance to the Design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, architecture, engineering or related field required.
• Experience with Azure Develops or similar technologies.
• Minimum one-year specialist knowledge of software development for building architectural applications preferred.
• Experience working and coordinating with integrated teams.

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education and location.

The reasonably expected salary range for this position in our Chicago office is $92,000 - $119,000.

The reasonably expected salary range for this position in our Los Angeles office is $95,000 - $125,000.

The reasonably expected salary range for this position in our Seattle office is $104,000 - $125,000.

Other compensation may include a discretionary bonus.
