LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is partnering with publicly traded company headquartered in Northwest Houston to identify a Senior Tax Analyst. Primary responsibilities of the Senior Tax Analyst:- Oversee and support the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns
- Participate in the review of international tax filings
- Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations (ASC 740)
- Conduct tax research and support planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position
- Coordinate responses to federal and state tax audits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tax-related matters
- Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and technology enhancements
Primary qualifications include:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward certification preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax, ideally with both compliance and provision exposure
- Familiarity with ASC 740 and US GAAP tax reporting
- Experience with fixed assets, intangible assets, and M&A tax considerations is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with major ERP and tax software systems preferred
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
- Self-starter with a collaborative, inquisitive mindset
