Overview
Post Doctoral Fellow - CQuIC. The Center for Quantum Information and Control (CQuIC) at the University of New Mexico invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships in theoretical quantum information science (QIS) as part of the National Science Foundation's Focused Research Hub in Theoretical Physics (FRHTP). CQuIC is an interdisciplinary QIS research center with participating faculty from physics, chemistry, electrical and computer engineering, and computer science. CQuIC's research covers topics including quantum computation, control, measurement, communication, and simulation, and it participates in multi-institutional centers under the National Quantum Initiative (NQI), including Q-SEnSE and QSA. Fellows will engage with CQuIC through hub activities, visitors, seminars, workshops, and the SQuInT network, and may interact with partner institutions such as Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory, as well as Honeywell Quantum Solutions.
A successful FRHTP Postdoctoral Fellow will have the opportunity to pursue independent research, collaborate with CQuIC faculty and partners, and participate in hub activities and events.

Appointment Details
The initial term of appointment is two years with the possibility of extension to a third year, with a starting salary of at least $74,200 per year plus benefits and a substantial stipend for domestic and international travel and other expenses. Albuquerque, New Mexico, offers a rich cultural environment and diverse outdoor activities.
