Job description

JOB SUMMARY :

The Program Assistant is a professional staff member o f Isab el's House that assi st s in the overs ight and coordination of all aspects of the crisis nursery . This position is responsible fo r supporting the agency's mission i n collaboration with the program management team. This position i s supervised by the Program Manager and works independently and collaboratively.

QUALIFICATIONS (PER LICENSING) :

Following Missouri State License requirements, this position requires either :

  • Bachelor's Degree and one year of work experience in a residential care agency for children and youth, or
  • Two years of college and two years' work experience in a residential care agency for children and youth, or
  • High school diploma and three years' work experience in a residential care agency for children and youth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledg e of child development (physical, social and emotional) and child behavior management
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet individual / programmatic needs
  • Demons trate excellence in organizational, communication (verbal and written), supervision, management and leadership skills
  • Prioritize workload independently and appropriately .
  • Exercis e sound judgment, critical thinking skills, appropriate personal responsibility , problem-solving, and initiative is required .
  • Knowledge of current community resources for children's needs is preferred .
  • Maintain strict standards of confidentiality and profe ssiona lism.
  • Effectively manage priorities and tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Satisfactory results of all background checks, driving records and reference checks.
  • Must possess proof of auto insurance and be able to obtain a Class E driver's license within 30 days of hire.
