Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to provide school-based services for 6th-8th grade students in a local school district near Elkins Park, PA.

Responsibilities :
Plan and provide appropriate specialized therapy techniques through individual and / or group sessions designed to meet the educational needs of 6th-8th grade students, consistent with therapy goals in Individual Education Plans (IEP).Screen, evaluate, and document student levels, strengths, needs, and progress using approved assessment tools.Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and multi-disciplinary team meetings to assess progress and develop / revise individual therapy interventions for middle school (6th-8th grade) students.Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement classroom-based activities and instructional techniques that ensure carry-over of skills and learning for middle schoolers.Provide consultative services to and involve parents in the therapy programs for their 6th-8th grade children.Compile, maintain, and file all required reports, records, and documents in accordance with laws and school policy, including documentation about equipment and materials.Meet the needs of all students effectively by working in partnership with other disciplines.Comply with all applicable policies, laws, and school board rules.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, and practices for school-based therapy, with a focus on adolescent / middle school populations.Company Profile :
